Campton Elementary recently formed a student council. The council will be responsible for representing their fellow students. Additionally, the council will be responsible for organizing and implementing programs and activities to not only make the school a better place but also to carry out activities in the community. The student council was formed by each homeroom having a teacher selected and student elected member. Mr Whisman, principal, commented, "I feel that if students are taking an ownership in their school that is a huge step toward improving school culture and school image. This council is a step in the right direction. I am very proud of the members of this council and told them that it is a huge honor and a huge responsibility to be a member of this group. I am very confident they will excel as leaders".
